Remembering Heath Ledger

By

Heath Ledger’s unexpected death last week was a shocking tragedy. The 28-year-old actor was found dead in his New York City apartment, naked on the floor. Authorities believe his death to be drug related as sleeping pills were found near Ledger’s body and the actor has an alleged history of drug abuse. We at The Mac Weekly would like to acknowledge his contributions to the world of film and remember all the fun times. Who can forget his long curls in “10 Things I Hate About You,” when he courts Julia Stiles and gives an unforgettable performance of “You’re Just to Good to Be True” while waltzing across stadium bleachers? Heath Ledger probably had the best smile Hollywood has ever seen. From jousting in “A Knight’s Tale” to sheep herding in “Brokeback Mountain,” he was able to master any role flawlessly. He was a truly talented actor, recognized more for his work than for his personal life and partying, a rare thing among today’s young celebrities. We will miss him and we hope this is a wake up call for those heading down the same path (cough cough, Lindsay Lohan, cough cough). Heath, you won the Oscar in our book.
