Emily Rackow ’04 passed away unexpectedly in her apartment in Washington, D.C. last Friday. A memorial service was held for her at Main Line Reform Temple Beth Elohim in Bryn Mawr, Penn. on Wednesday.
Rackow, an employee of the Middle East Institute, was a Classics and Anthropology major while at Macalester. She also participated in Classics Department-sponsored archaeological digs in Omrit, Israel and Kenchreai, Greece and studied abroad in Turkey.
A memorial service will be held on campus at a later date.
