(Not a Lot of) Sex & the Cities

By Anna Chastain

Stephanie Potter Staff Writer Q: So, I had sex with my RA on Friday night and he wrote me up on Saturday for being at a party. What should I do? More sex?

A: Absolutely not! He clearly wasn’t much impressed by the sex, so having more won’t help you. Try to party in a different dorm.

Q: I haven’t been having a lot of sex lately (none, actually) but I want to. What do I do?

A: There’s no easy answer to your question because we don’t know who you are or what you’re looking for. Since you’re at Macalester, you could have a long wait, so you might as well enjoy yourself and learn the finer points of masturbation.

Q: After heavy nights of drinking I often have “performance troubles” (ie whiskey dick) w/ my inebriated yet mildly consensual partner. What can I do? Are there any serious drug interactions between Viagra and booze? Please help.

A: Wait a minute. You’re young for Viagra. Are you taking the Viagra to overcome the “whiskey dick” or for another reason? But the obvious answer is to do less drinking. We are, however, concerned about your use of “mildly consensual;” how are you defining that? A comatose partner is NOT a consensual partner.
