Founders Day unites the Mac community through history

Last night students participated in the annual Pub Quiz in the Campus Center. Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend today’s festivities, which begin at 3:30 p.m. on Old Main Lawn. Students will have the opportunity to compete in the annual pushball game, and the winners will challenge the faculty for the 2013 championship title. In the evening, students, staff and faculty will gather in the Campus Center to celebrate the founding of the College. Café Mac will be transformed and attendees can look forward to dancing, games, photos, food and more. This year marks the 139th anniversary of Macalester College. To learn more about the founding mothers and fathers of the College, check out the Founder Bios at www.macalester.edu/foundersday/founder-bios/. Attendees are encouraged to wear semi-formal attire.
