Women’s softball went 2-4 this week, playing doubleheaders against Gustavus, Concordia and Saint Mary’s. The Scots dropped both games against the Gusties on Thursday, the 16th, but rebounded by sweeping Concordia two days later, winning by scores of 4-3 and 3-0.
On April 22nd in their second annual Strike Out Heart Disease game, the Scots sported special red jerseys. Despite falling twice to the Cardinals by scores of 18-15 and 5-1, Macalester was working towards a goal of raising $1,000. They sold t-shirts, raffle tickets and ribbons during the game. All donations will go to support the American Heart & Stroke Association.
