Women’s basketball:
Peyton Starks ’25 won the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Offensive Player of the Year award and made her third straight All-MIAC team. Starks made history this season as the first player in recorded MIAC history to lead the conference in scoring for three consecutive years, tallying an 18.6 point average this season. The MIAC named Starks the Offensive Player of the Week three times this season. She scored 20 points in 11 games this year, topping out at 32 against University of Wisconsin-Superior on Nov. 16. Starks finishes her Scots career with 1,652 points, the second-most in program history.
Katherine Norquist ’25 earned All-MIAC honorable mention for her second year in a row. Norquist recorded career highs across the board in her final season at Macalester, tallying 11.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. She ranked fourth in the MIAC in blocks per game and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.2). She ranked fifth in the MIAC in rebounds and assists per game.
Men’s basketball:
Eric Wentz ’26 joined the All MIAC team for the first time in his career with career-highs in points (15.8), rebounds (5.8) and assists (1.0) per game. He dropped a career-high 40 points and 14 rebounds against Grinnell College on Nov. 23. He played in all 25 games, one of just three players on Macalester’s roster to achieve that feat.
