Four Loko Gets A MakeOver
Four Loko has changed its packaging in response to the government’s implications that the company deceptively markets its product as less alcoholic. The college favorite now sports an “Alcohol Facts” panel on its can that states the alcohol percnt per volume and serving size. It also upgraded to a new physical design that allows cans containing the equivalent of more then 2.5 alcoholic drinks to be resealable. So for you hipsters on campus, replace your cans of PBR with vintage Four Lokos before they are strictly collectors items. [APA]
McDonalds doesn’t quite make it to Progreso
A Carnival Triumph Vessel cruise was stranded in the Gulf of Mexico last week. Of the 3,143 passengers, 500 are Corporate McDonalds employees. While the original destination was Progreso, Mexico, the McDonalds employees will avoid their soup-based competitors in favor the new destination hot spot Mobile, Alabama. Currently two tug boats are curently towing the ship towards shore. The ship has been floating aimlessly for about 150 miles due to an engine fire. No one was injured as a result of the fire, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t cause discomfort: several bathrooms on board are now out of order and many passengers are getting sick. Basically, it’s no carnival on this ship. [CNN]
