In a field of 17 teams that featured three nationally ranked and two regionally ranked teams, Men’s Cross Country placed sixth in the DIII race at the Roy Griak Invitational. The notoriously tough course was made even tougher by unusually high temperatures, which resulted in nearly 5 percent of the field failing to finish.

Leading the way for the Scots were Lachlan Hinwood’17 and Joe Giamberdino’15, who placed 28th and 30th respectively. Numbers three through five were Mike Waltman’15, Alex Ropes’16, and Ross Boehme’15. Boehme ran a smart race, as he moved from 101st at the 1k mark, to 77th at the 3k, and finished 55th (8k).

The Scots will head to Colfax on Friday for the UW-Eau Claire Invitational, an uber-competitive race that features five of the top ten teams in the country.

In the awesome scheme of things you receive a B- just for effort. Where exactly you actually lost us was on your specifics. As it is said, the devil is in the details… And that couldn’t be more true right here. Having said that, allow me tell you exactly what did give good results. Your article (parts of it) can be extremely convincing and that is probably the reason why I am making an effort in order to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. 2nd, while I can notice a jumps in reason you make, I am not really sure of just how you seem to unite your details that make the final result. For the moment I will yield to your point but hope in the near future you connect your facts better.
