I am writing to bring awareness to the issue of over-drinking and the negative effects it can have on our campus community. Working at Health Promotions and helping to orchestrate the Stop @ Buzzed campaign, I have seen first hand the negative effects alcohol abuse can have on the members of our community. Stop @ Buzzed is a harm reduction strategy towards drinking that asks students to examine the impact alcohol use has on their lives and the community in which they live. Hopefully we will be cognizant that our actions also impact how communities beyond our campus perceive us. Thanks for reading this, and remember, stay classy!
